Really, that's pretty low but not bad at all. As long as you can enjoy the game, even with a deposit like this, it's fine. Kids are more important and there are certainly many other things you can do with the money. So basically, I think it's fine the way you have it set up. ??

You can only spend 1000 or 2000 a month on online gambling. The idea behind this and the 1€ a spin rule was to prevent players getting into debt. However, the laws apply only for online gambling. After reached my maximum amount to use online I can withdraw money from the bank go in the next lanbased Casino and bet 50€ on the Zero and or red, black on the Roulette table. I live in Cologne. It's not more than 90minutes drive and and I walk in a casino in Netherlands, Belgium or France.

Nobody ever got forced by a casino to register and make a deposit. But everybody gambles at some point. Even it's just o lottery ticket or a round Bingo. And even if nobody in Germany plays anymore the casinos leave and go somewhere else. Through Elon Musks sattlites people in developing countries, especially in Africa and the global South, have now better access to the internet and through crypto a easy way to conduct business online. That's great, of course. The dark side is a lot of people made their first online payments to gambling sites or porn site subscriptions.

Yes, and it is in some way a good sign if people take loans, credit and so on in some countries and gamble, it costs the state money. In some cases it ends up drastically, but I don't want to talk too much about that. It is regulated in your country at least somewhere. There are states where it is not regulated and people can lose basically everything.

Anyway, if nothing applies to the land based casinos then it doesn't have that much power. On the other hand, they may have some statistics that only a fraction of people play in such casinos anymore.

I voted for none ... but back when I was playing online, I would make a deposit maybe once a month ... and then portion it out over time. Making deposits should not be a difficult thing, but I have had issues so I made sure to do it infrequently. (Oh, why? Same reason as I have mentioned in other posts ... I often work outside my home state and deposits made from strange locations tend to get flagged.)
