I see, it would be useful if there was a system in casinos that would detect such things right at the start of registration so that one person could not get into the casino again so easily. But that's probably music of the future. 

Anyway, I'm curious to see how it turns out and what will be solved in the end.

Well I asked why should the casino write to you or reach out to you when you have deposited money there ? Were you somehow self-excluded or not ? I don't think it's standard practice if you haven't been. 

I was also wondering if they have any responsible tools to help you limit your playing. 

They have a duty of care as all gambling sites have. There needs to be a game play interrupt etc there should be a trigger when players deposit a certain amount of money

No Jaro, that's not the music of the future. In Spain and in many other countries, if you ask to close your account due to gambling addiction, they won't let you open another one. All you have to do is enter your name and your first surname, they won't let you access this. They are legal casinos, the rest is only allowed by casinos with suspicious purposes.

Oh, so what should be the limit at which the casino would alert you ? I think there could be a lot of such warnings. And I haven't heard that it should be a duty yet.

They are trying to say my first account wasn’t verified which is a lie and there was never a dob entered…. Even though you need to be 18 to gamble ???? they won’t admit fault and casino guru will probably side with them and close my complaint- two months of slow replies wasted

I've seen it in your complaint. I was wondering if you check with this casino to see if there is any email that you did it successfully. Is there such a thing? Maybe you could have it and that would basically be proof for you. But that's just my thought that crossed my mind. 

Anyway, we'll see how it goes and what Michael finds out. I hope it will all be resolved fairly.

They don’t send confirmation emails they tick it’s verified on your account and at the time it isn’t something I’d screenshot, they don’t think anyone would feel the need at the time

This is a good thing, but most casinos don't have such a system and it would certainly be great if someone who had already self-excluded or mentioned gambling addiciton couldn't re-register and as soon as they entered their personal information the system would simply evaluate that it was not possible. 

So if that's how it works in your country I would stick to the casinos where I'm sure it will be enforced. 

I would agree Jaro but unfortunately in my country I am Registered on Gamstop and I can’t gamble so as a "gambling addict" you go looking for sites and ways around it and land at these kind of rogue casinos which shouldn’t exist. There should be a worldwide standard especially if they are allowed to accept UK players.

Of course, but if we play in those casinos it is because we believe in the responsible gaming that they have the obligation to have when they advertise it and we check the safety index in places like the casino.

Yes, I certainly understand that at that time you would not have thought that this problem would arise. So we'll see where Michal gets to, and we certainly don't need to be in cahoots with the casino, so there's no need to say such things. Whatever the outcome, it is always clearly explained what is behind the decision of the complaint team. We wouldn't do it for the players if we needed to side with casinos. 

And that's exactly the problem, that where it doesn't work like that, the players try to get around it. It would be good to have some sort of standard but every country approaches gambling differently and I think that's the main stumbling block why it's not like that. In some countries gambling is strictly guarded and in others it is not, so it would be hard to find a consensus. ?????♂?
