A little warning here for the CG Community: Casino Guru is an open platform where everyone is free to share their thoughts and opinions. We believe in free speech and try to be as non-restrictive as possible. That said, please remember: just because something is posted on the forum doesn’t mean Casino Guru agrees with it or endorses it in any way. We’re really happy to see players engaging in conversations, debating respectfully, and having fun doing so! That’s why we created this platform. However, we’ve noticed a growing trend – not just here, but across other platforms too – where some players, after losing money fairly in a casino, look for ways to get those funds back through their bank or payment provider, often by filing chargebacks or making false claims. We’d like to warn you: this behaviour is not only unfair – it’s also very risky! We’ve already seen and heard stories (here and elsewhere) of people who got into serious trouble trying to go down this route – including closed casino accounts across multiple platforms, closed bank accounts, debts, and even lawsuits (attempted fraud). Attempting fraud or misrepresenting the truth to a bank or provider is never a good idea and could have lasting consequences. So here’s our friendly appeal to all Casino Guru community members: Stand up against unfair and dishonest casinos. Use our Complaints Resolution Center if you need help – you don’t have to fight alone. But please don’t try to get back money you’ve fairly lost. It’s simply not worth the risk. Thanks for being part of our community – and have a great day!

What happened with your Santander chargebacks? How long did they take from the day they were raised? I was initially told 45 days and it's now apparently 130 days! I can't find any information about this so called 130 days anywhere. Mastercard have no information that indicate this nor does anywhere else online.

Hi, yes I did see this when you posted it the other day and I tried to make contact with them but no reply as of yet. Have your bank managed to raise a chargeback against them?

Is that 5 months to get the money back from the day the claim was raised? Or 5 months to get the claim raised in the first place?

I haven't applied as its santander and they are useless santander are mastercard i am in process of taking them to FO for previous claim that I don't even think they raised and flat out lied about

What makes you think they didn't raise it? Have you checked your mobile banking app? Go to:

Help Centre -> Help with your transactions -> Track a dispute

This should show which claims are raised/in progress?

Let me know as I might ring them up today and demand some more information as to what is going on. No way it's been 49 days and not a single update from any of the merchants. For reference, 2 of my NatWest disputes the merchant instantly refunded after the claims were raised so this can't be right.

The first part of your story is almost identical to mine, it was so unclear as to what was happening. But now I can actually see within my app that the claims are open and have been since 24th October.

Every time I call, they tell me it is still ongoing and there is no update, but I might just start putting my foot down and being a little more pushy with them so they start giving some answers. ANY other time I have raised chargebacks for ANY other reason, they are processed and dealt with within one month if not less. That goes for Santander and NatWest...

Yeah mine was saying it was open but the customer advisors either didn't have a clue what was going on even when I gave ref numbers and even went through every transaction .I even raised 2 complaints on the incompetence which was closed immediately on my app you can see how many times it's been cancelled and opened 4 times to be exact. That's why the advisor told me it's been closed and final decision had been made this was late Sept so I said no it's still open as it says open on my app that's when she said I am going to speak to my manager and get back to you ,when she came back that's when she told me the case was definitely closed but someone keeps raising it but it will keep getting rejected. Straight after that conversation I received an email stating they are still investigating SMH. So the decision had already been made and I feel they just dragged it out to make it look as if they where doing something unaware of that conversation. I honestly don't think it was ever raised as goods not received as the reasons behind it was the same reason for the inital refusal for fraud the ip address. But who knows everyone's case is based differently. I hope you have more luck than me fingers x for you hun

If they are done via bank transfer like falcora are you can raise them as a fraud scam dispute , bank has to refund you within 5 days because of the new rules

Nope bank refused to do anything about my bank transfers so I had to complain

This is interesting. I've just read about it and this is right, but only for payments made after 7th October 2024. I'm going to still try and call my bank and see if they can possibly do something.

No use I spoke to my bank tried to report as scam but they wouldn’t do it so had to complain

Yeah payments after 7th of October , you tell the bank you have been scammed and they will refund you within 5 days because of the new laws in place . Much easier route than chargeback .

Can you help, my bank wouldn’t raise it as a scam after I told them the situation
