A little warning here for the CG Community: Casino Guru is an open platform where everyone is free to share their thoughts and opinions. We believe in free speech and try to be as non-restrictive as possible. That said, please remember: just because something is posted on the forum doesn’t mean Casino Guru agrees with it or endorses it in any way. We’re really happy to see players engaging in conversations, debating respectfully, and having fun doing so! That’s why we created this platform. However, we’ve noticed a growing trend – not just here, but across other platforms too – where some players, after losing money fairly in a casino, look for ways to get those funds back through their bank or payment provider, often by filing chargebacks or making false claims. We’d like to warn you: this behaviour is not only unfair – it’s also very risky! We’ve already seen and heard stories (here and elsewhere) of people who got into serious trouble trying to go down this route – including closed casino accounts across multiple platforms, closed bank accounts, debts, and even lawsuits (attempted fraud). Attempting fraud or misrepresenting the truth to a bank or provider is never a good idea and could have lasting consequences. So here’s our friendly appeal to all Casino Guru community members: Stand up against unfair and dishonest casinos. Use our Complaints Resolution Center if you need help – you don’t have to fight alone. But please don’t try to get back money you’ve fairly lost. It’s simply not worth the risk. Thanks for being part of our community – and have a great day!

Glad to hear it, in a roundabout way i think these companies have helped some of us in a weird way, it's been the breaking point in terms of our addiction, and discouraged us from gambling. I haven't placed a bet since all this started.

Got the feeling from chase they just wanted to reject it and get it out the way, i sent a tonne of evidence before in my initial chargeback claim and they rejected it within 50 minutes of sending, despite there being well over an hour of evidence to get through, i've gone at them from a new angle this time and asked them to explain it from their end, they've yet to reply so i'm thinking now they've actually had to investigate rather than send me a pre written reply, they're picking up on something they didn't look at before. If they do come back at me and reject it i've got enough where i feel the FOS will side with me.

Ok I see so have they actually raised the chargebacks yet ?

They've said they've forwarded it to the relevant team so i think so, they've got to investigate it to answer the questions i've asked as the pre written replies won't answer it if that makes sense, so they're at least looking into it properly this time.

Ok it sounds like they have not even raised them yet or you would get a letter with a list of the ones raised bud once raised then its 45 days to respond or you win them its usually about 60 days it takes

Hopefully they're in the process of raising them then, they did previously raise them but the dispute got rejected almost instantly, this time though they're taking their time to reply, so i think they're taking an actual look

Oh ok just make sure they raise them then the quicker the better really mate

I'm gonna get onto them, ideally i'd like it fixed without the FOS involvement as that's another few months of waiting at least.

Yes chase them up to see if they have raised anything otherwise they will just sit back and do nothing by the sounds if it

Was this for bank transfers or card payments?

All were card payments

Ah okay, thank you. With Revolut you can try to recall bank transfers but generally they reject. I had a small number of card transactions I tried to chargeback but they rejected too.

Hi. I am happy to help. Unfortunately, it appears that he is still on his family vacation. I am afraid it will not be that quick.

Hi Radka,

What is your opinion or Casino Guru's team for this whole situation? The deeper you dig into the merchant miscoding issues the more you will find out that this scheme is being set up to be able to collect more deposits from (problem) gamblers as their banks would not suspect its a casino deposit bypassing potential limits from the banks. It also is done to avoid being labelled high risk by banks which could have benefits for them too.

The only positive side is that for us players (if we end up gambling on an illegal casino in our country) that we can file a chargeback which in most cases is won as the merchant wont risk to expose his own fraud scheme ??

And for my fellow Casino Guru users. If you have found contact details of the merchant you need add it to this other topic I made to have a good overview of merchants and their contact details in case you need to get a refund or start a chargeback process. This way we can keep the ongoing discussion here but not see the same questions for same merchants being asked. With 338 pages it can take a while to find the data you need.
