Earlier this year, the leading supplier of video bingo, video slots games, solutions and systems, Zitro, reaffirmed its sustainability commitment after obtaining ISO 14067 certification.
The milestone certification advanced the company's commitment to transparently measuring and reporting the carbon footprint of its products.
Now, Zitro announced it achieved a new certification, reaffirming its commitment to sustainability.
On Tuesday, the company revealed it obtained ISO 14064-1 certification.
The aforementioned standard manages the improvement of its corporate carbon footprint and follows a comprehensive certification process.
In a press release, Zitro explained: "The ISO 14064-1 certification represents an essential milestone for Zitro in consolidating a more sustainable business model aligned with the highest international standards in corporate responsibility."
Upon completion of the certification process and securing the accreditation, Zitro confirms its global capability to manage greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.
Ultimately, the certification enhances the company's ESG management and boosts its efforts to decrease CO2 emissions progressively.
There are three primary emission areas that are covered by the aforementioned standard.
Those include Scope 1, which affects direct emissions generated by vehicles owned or rented by Zitro and used at all of its locations across the globe.
Scope 2 covers indirect emissions related to the consumption of energy at Zitro's offices, warehouses and laboratories, while Scope 3 refers to both indirect and direct emissions generated across the company's value chain and this includes customers, travel distribution and suppliers, among other aspects.
The newly obtained certification comes after Zitro recently expanded its Mexican footprint via Caliente Casino Hipódromo deal.
Announced earlier this month, the collaboration saw the former deliver its revolutionary CONCEPT cabinet line along with fan-favorite games, supercharging the operator's offering.
Before that, in a similar move in Mexico, Zitro rolled out its CONCEPT cabinet line and games at Winpot Mexicali.
