The global leader in supplying video bingo, video slots games, as well as systems and solutions, Zitro, reached an important milestone, highlighting its sustainability commitment.
On Monday this week, the company announced it obtained an important certification regarding its Product Carbon Footprint.
Zitro achieved the prestigious ISO 14067:2019 certification which "specifies principles, requirements and guidelines for the quantification and reporting of the carbon footprint of a product (CFP)."
The certification standard comes after the company's management systems were certified under the ISO 14064-1 standard back in 2021.
Now, by achieving ISO 14067:2019, Zitro advances its commitment to measuring and transparently reporting the carbon footprint of its products.
Late last month, the company enhanced the guest experience for Flamingo Casino customers with the addition of its CONCEPT cabinet line.
This was achieved through an agreement with Grupo Euromex.
Before that, Zitro expanded the reach of its CONCEPT cabinet after it signed another partnership with Grupo Euromex.
As a result, customers of Mazatlán’s MonteCarlo Casino tapped into the engaging games and innovative cabinets provided by Zitro.
Marta Cuesta, Zitro's VP of Product and Development, was excited about the latest certification secured by the company.
"Obtaining ISO 14067 certification is an important step in our commitment to sustainability," she commented, Casino Guru News learned from a press release.
"We are aware of the environmental impact that our industry can have, and we feel responsible for leading by example, adopting practices that benefit not only our customers but also the planet," Cuesta explained in conclusion.
The milestone certification confirms the precise assessment of each product's environmental impact.
At the same time, the certification standard permits the establishment of more targeted and ambitious improvement goals within the company's value chain.
