SBC Summit Malta
  • SBC Events has celebrated the success of the recently concluded SBC Summit Malta, which brought thousands of decision-makers together
  • The event allowed SBC Events to further boost its scope as part of its rebranding and brought in a diverse crowd of industry professionals
  • SBC Events is now committed to hosting the event again, with the dates already set for April 28-30, 2026

SBC Events has recapped the industry-defining SBC Summit Malta, which succeeded CasinoBeats Malta, and reimagined the format into a powerful meeting & networking opportunity or the European iGaming elite.

The event attracted more than 6,000 professionals from Malta and across Europe to the InterContinental Hotel and played host to the inaugural edition of the rechristened event. Taking place on Wednesday, June 11, the event saw the Maltese Minister for the Economy, Enterprise, and Strategic Projects, Silvio Schembri, do the honors and participate in the ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Bringing the European iGaming elite together

The event has rapidly expanded the scope and reach of the original one, featuring various stages and conference tracks, and covering casino, sports betting, regulation, affiliation, payments, emerging tech, and more. SBC Events has been pleased with the feedback it has received, including from Casumo CTO Cristina Turbatu, who said:

"It’s very well organised, it’s very well structured, and for me, it just feels high-end in terms of quality, so I really enjoy it." The event was also praised by RubyPlay CPO Dr. Eyal Loz, who added:

"It’s big enough to meet a lot of interesting people and have some really good meetings, and small enough to navigate easily. The organisation, the location, the panels; I’m very happy with it. It has been brilliant."

Kindred Group CEO Nils Andén was also among the prominent industry insiders to pay his compliments to the new format.

"I have definitely met the people that I expected to meet here, and also some people that I was surprised to see. SBC delivered on the promise to get the right people."

The event indeedwent beyond its intended goals and targets, bringing together some of the most important decision-makers in the region as well as the world's iGaming and sports betting markets. The event saw more than 2,100 operator representatives and 750 affiliates focused on player acquisition.

Rasmus Sojmark, SBC CEO & Founder, was similarly pleased with the event, which will be returning once again next year.

"While the numbers for this event were strong and we delivered on our promises, the most important takeaway was the undeniable excitement I witnessed while walking the show floor, entering the conference rooms, and attending the dinners and parties," Sojmark said.

The stage is already set for next year's edition of SBC Summit Malta

Sojmark said that he was thankful for the feedback the event has received and used the opportunity to thank those people specifically involved in making the event a reality.

"These events help to confirm the importance of the gaming industry to the local economy," said Malta Gaming Authority CEO Charles Mizzi, adding: "I was quite impressed with the setup and the number of participants. If we remain behind our desks and do not participate in events such as this, we wouldn’t have the feel of the industry."

The event saw a huge international turnout, with 53% of attendees flying in to attend SBC Summit Malta. SBC Summit Malta also served as the opportunity to host the first EDM experience – the INFINITY Party by SBC in the country, which has already been hosted at SBC Summit, SBC Summit Rio, and SBC Summit Americas.

With a strong start to the inaugural industry event, SBC Events has already confirmed that SBC Summit Malta is due to return on April 28-30, 2026.
