Marina Ostrovtsova, CEO at BGaming, discusses the studio’s dual nominations at the Casino Guru Awards and its deep commitment to social responsibility. She highlights initiatives like the DAR Bjorn Charity Gala, the Players Hub launch, and expansion into Italy. Emphasizing action over words, she affirms BGaming’s hands-on approach to positive change and player-first innovation, with plans to deepen local charity work and host the TRUE WAYS iGaming conference.

Q: Marina, this year BGaming is represented in the Casino Guru Awards in two categories - The Most Impactful Social Responsibility Initiative and the Players’ Choice – Best Game Provider. What does this mean to you personally and for BGaming as a whole?

For me and the whole team at BGaming, it’s an amazing recognition of our work and the values we believe in.

The nomination for the Most Impactful Social Responsibility Initiative means a lot, especially because it highlights that we care about more than just creating great games. We believe businesses should give back to society, and it’s awesome to see that our efforts are making an impact.

As for being recognized in the Players' Choice – Best Game Provider category, it’s a huge source of pride. Players are at the heart of everything we do, and their trust and choices show that we’re heading in the right direction.

Q: BGaming has also chosen to sponsor this year’s edition of the Casino Guru Awards. What has motivated your company to also offer financial support for the event, and why do you think the Casino Guru Awards make a difference?

We decided to support the Casino Guru Awards because we believe in what they stand for. We've been working with Casino Guru for a while and appreciate our partnership, so this felt like a natural step. By providing financial backing, we're helping to drive positive change in the industry. The awards aren’t just about recognizing winners; they also shine a light on the efforts making a real difference in the industry as a whole.

Q: BGaming recently teamed up with White Label Casinos to raise money for the Dar Bjorn Neurological Home. How did this collaboration come about, and what impact do you hope it will have on the lives of those at the home?

At BGaming, we love teaming up for projects that let us think outside the box and make a real impact. So when we had the chance to organize the DAR Bjorn Charity Gala with White Label Casinos, we were excited, especially because it’s for a good cause.

It’s a one-of-a-kind event committed to generating crucial funds for DAR Bjorn's neurological home. The main focus of the fundraising evening will be DAR Bjorn’s new Respite project, which expands on the charity’s two homes in Malta. This project will offer short-term care and support for people with serious neurological conditions like ALS and MS while also providing relief for their caregivers.

The event is set to be one of the most unforgettable charity galas in Malta, with hopes to exceed its fundraising goals and make a meaningful difference. We invite everyone to join us in supporting this important cause. Learn more about the event here.

Q: BGaming has made a strong commitment to social initiatives and responsibility. How does your company ensure that it genuinely delivers on these promises, rather than just paying lip service to good causes?

At BGaming, we believe that social responsibility isn’t just something we talk about; it’s something we live by and make part of our company’s everyday culture.

Instead of just talking about good causes, we get involved in real projects. Whether charity work, supporting local communities, or promoting responsible gaming and inclusivity, we ensure we’re actively doing something. For example, our project with A7MA Art Institute in Brazil isn’t just a one-off; it’s part of our bigger plan to support art, young people, and cultural exchange. We want to make a real impact, not just say we’re doing good.

Q: BGaming has recently launched its Players Hub, designed to offer even more insight into your studio titles, readily accessible by ordinary players. Why did you make this decision, and what is there for players as well as your company to gain from this solution?

We launched Players Hub as part of BGaming’s ongoing focus on putting players at the center of everything we do. We’ve been working with players for a long time, analyzing their behavior, testing titles, and teaming up with streamers to make data-driven games that match their needs.

Players Hub is a platform that gives players real-time data, early game access, and more. It helps them make better decisions about how they play and find games that fit their preferences. During the testing phase, over 5,000 players signed up organically without any promotion, showing real interest.

The platform gives players access to data from all game servers, like live RTP stats, top wins, and trending games. Plus, they can try out upcoming games and give us feedback, which helps us improve before the official release. It’s a win-win solution: they get a better experience, and we get valuable input.

Q: You were also licensed by GLI in Italy just a few weeks ago. How has BGaming responded to markets with increasing regulatory pressure such as Italy and why do you think Italy actually makes a good move for BGaming?

Getting the GLI certification in Italy was a big step for us. We value clear and strong regulations, and Italy has exactly that.

At BGaming, tighter rules are a good thing, not a problem. It shows that players and partners trust us, and that helps us grow steadily.

Italy is an exciting market because the players there have much experience and love for gaming. They appreciate quality and new ideas, so we’re confident that BGaming’s games will be a great fit for them with their unique style and fresh approach.

Q: Looking ahead, what are BGaming's main goals for the next year, both in terms of innovation and social responsibility, and how do you plan to continue making a positive impact within the iGaming industry?

Looking ahead, we’ve got a couple of main goals for BGaming over the next year. First, we’ll keep focusing on making games that connect with players, with deep math, cool mechanics, and a unique look. At the same time, social responsibility is still a big part of who we are. We plan to get more involved in charity projects, especially local ones, in the countries where BGaming operates.

We’re also preparing for our online conference for iGaming executives, TRUE WAYS, with authentic stories and insights from iGaming leaders. It’s a chance for iGaming professionals to share their knowledge, network with top execs, and get noticed by key players in the industry. The event is on June 4th, and we’d love for you to join us!
