• DraftKings announces the launch of My Budget Builder’s Responsible Gambling tool

DraftKings has launched its latest tool designed to bolster the company’s commitment to Responsible Gambling. The My Budget Builder is a new tool that the sportsbook will actively promote to its players.

My Budget Builder is designed to help players stay in control

Essentially, My Budget Builder is a tool that players can use to help manage their overall betting limits, total spending, and is marked by intuitive UI and UX. The tool is also available across DraftKings' full range of platforms, including the mainstream real-money sportsbook, as well as the casino, DFS, and Pick6 websites and apps.

Commenting on the launch of this new tool design to elevate the company’s commitment to RG, DraftKings Chief Responsible Gambling Officer Lori Kalani had this to say:

"My Budget Builder is a new kind of Responsible Gaming tool—intuitive, proactive, and personalized. It reflects our ongoing commitment to creating fun, enjoyable environments for our players. By enhancing how players engage with limit-setting, we are providing another resource that players can use to help them play responsibly."

The tool is available through the DraftKings Responsible Gaming Center and the DraftKings app and will allow players to not only set limits and monitor their habits and total spending, but also garner a better understanding of why core metrics such as these matter.

Players can build personalized budgets, fix their deposit amounts, total wagers, maximum wager size, time spent, contest fees, loss limits, and virtually any metric that could have an impact on positive play.

DraftKings has accounted for fail-safes

The company is hoping to encourage players to review all the core metrics they are interested in and set a pre-determined configuration that then allows them to engage in a meaningful and sustained play.

DraftKings has taken one step ahead, too, making it so that limits can be reduced downwards but not upwards until a certain amount of time has passed.

This means that impulsive gamblers will not be able to push their spending too rapidly if they have already set things through My Budget Builder.

DraftKings is hoping to create an accessible and innovative product that helps educate players about responsible and positive play as well as shield them from gambling-related harm.
