But isn't it just in certain casinos? Some casinos have decreased RTP on slots and the games don't have to fake fake. They can just be adjusted by the provider to have a bit lower RTP.

Me neither, but it's probably due to it's simplicity, it's also a fast-paced game from the space environment. Everyone understands the main feature, which is the colourful star. When you get it, it's a good thing and that's it! ??
It's also necessary to say that slots looked differently 10 years ago and most of game providers didn't even exist during that time. The competition wasn't that high.
