The leading independent gambling harm prevention consultancy, EPIC Global Solutions, joined forces with the fast-growing provider of anonymous and impartial mental health, imatta.
Teaming up, the duo seeks to increase the availability of support for people affected by problem gambling.
Thanks to the innovative partnership, the two organizations are expected to provide vital support for those who need it.
Leveraging its extensive experience and resource materials, the platform offered by imatta will enable visitors to identify signs of problem gambling or harm.
In collaboration with EPIC's experienced employees, such visitors would then be notified about specialist treatment, which can be received in a caring and safe environment.
Besides providing support and increasing the availability of such services for people affected by problem gambling, the innovative new partnership will seek to develop educational content.
Collaborating together, EPIC and imatta will also create leadership modules, responsible gambling resources and different wellbeing initiatives.
Mike Holinski, EPIC's VP of partnerships, spoke about the importance of the new collaboration that enables two innovative and purpose-driven organizations to join forces with the goal of treating and preventing gambling harm.
"By combining EPIC’s global expertise in gambling harm prevention and mental wellbeing with imatta’s cutting-edge, anonymous learning and engagement platform, we’re creating meaningful pathways for support, education, and impact," he added.
Holinski added that addressing complex challenges related to gambling can be achieved through effective collaboration.
"Together with imatta, we’re setting a new benchmark for how organizations can integrate support, education, and digital innovation to truly make a difference," the executive added.
In December, EPIC went through a rebranding, changing its name from EPIC Risk Management to EPIC Global Solutions.
Chris Perry Metcalf, imatta's CEO, also shared his excitement about the new activation with EPIC.
He pointed to the importance of collaboration as a way to provide effective prevention and deliver meaningful support.
"Partnering with EPIC Global Solutions allows us to combine our deep expertise in treating gambling-related harm with EPIC’s unparalleled lived experience and leadership in harm prevention," Metcalf added.
"We’re proud to work alongside EPIC to set new standards in education, protection, and wellbeing for all those affected," imatta's CEO explained in conclusion.
