Evolution has expanded its global presence with a brand-new studio, and a regional first, as the company rolled the red carpet for its dedicated facility in Cebu, the Philippines.
This is the first studio for the company’s Asia-Pacific efforts, and a notable milestone for the company, which will leverage its new geographical foothold to expand in the regulated iGaming market in the Philippines – the region’s first fully licensed online casino market.
Evolution may use this important accomplishment to later pursue growth in other markets as well and help develop and hone its local expertise so that it follows up on even more ambitious projects when and if more markets in the Asian market start opening up to online casinos.
Evolution is also not going it alone and has launched in partnership with One Visaya Gaming Corporation (OVG), which will help the company to quickly study the local market and ensure that the products it brings are tailored to the needs and preferences of domestic audiences. More importantly, this partnership will now make it possible to launch with PAGCOR-licensed entities in the state.
Gionata La Torre, Evolution’s CEO for Europe, welcomed the news and shared the company’s excitement to be making this significant step:
"We're proud to launch our first live casino studio in Asia in the Philippines and be part of its regulated online gaming market. This new studio is a major milestone in our long-term commitment to the region. Partnering with OVG allows us to deliver world-class live content tailored to local preferences through licensed operators."
PAGCOR is the official gambling regulator in the Philippines. Evolution has already mapped out its innings, with the company going ahead with Baccarat tables first.
Game shows such as Marble Race and Super Color Game, as well as its signature Lightning Roulette, will all be coming throughout 2025 and add to the variety of titles available.
La Torre similarly noted that players can expect blockbuster and established games from the very first day, while assuring that Evolution’s focus will remain unchanged and fully squared on quality, innovation, and localization.
