The global gaming company, International Game Technology, announced that Michelle Carney, the Vice President of Global Lottery Marketing of its lottery business, Brightstar Lottery, will be inducted into the Lottery Industry Hall of Fame.
Only recently, IGT Lottery has gone through rebranding and it is now doing business as Brightstar Lottery.
Per IGT's recent announcement, Carney will be inducted into the Lottery Industry Hall of Fame as a member of the Class of 2025.
Holding the role of Vice President of Global Lottery Marketing at Brightstar Lottery, Carney played a major role in the development of the marketing and communication strategies of the business.
In turn, her efforts promoted the company's growth and expansion, helping it reaffirm its position as a leader in lottery trade shows, events and marketing.
Besides developing and implementing different strategies, Carney plays a major role for maintaining Brightstar's business relationships with leading industry bodies such as European Lotteries, North American Association of State and Provincial Lotteries (NASPL) and the World Lottery Association (WLA).
Sharing her excitement, Carney said: "It is a great honor to be inducted to Lottery Industry Hall of Fame and stand alongside all of the lottery professionals who contributed so much to our industry, many of whom inspired and supported me over the years."
Finally, the executive pointed out: "I am grateful for the privilege to collaborate with my colleagues at Brightstar and in the industry around the globe and look forward to continue working together to drive the success of lottery and contributions to good causes."
Recently, under Carney's leadership, changes to the popular draw game, Mega Millions, were introduced.
As she played a key role in the development and implementation of the new plan on behalf of the Mega Millions Consortium, in the end, the overhaul of the game was implemented in April and launched successfully.
Vince Sadusky, Brightstar's CEO, acknowledged that Carney is an exceptional asset for the company and the entire lottery vertical.
"Over the course of her highly accomplished 25-year career, she has successfully cultivated strategic partnerships, contributed to Brightstar's global lottery leadership, and championed innovation to drive the evolution of lottery forward," he added.
Finally, Sadusky said: "All of us at Brightstar congratulate Michelle on her well-deserved induction into the Lottery Industry Hall of Fame."
The official induction will take place at a special ceremony scheduled to take place this September.
The industry-leading event will be held in Ontario, Canada, and it is hosted by the Public Gaming Research Institute (PGRI) in collaboration with the NASPL.
