The Isle of Man Gambling Supervision Commission (GSC) announced an important senior-level appointment.
Late last week, the Commission confirmed it selected Gregory Petts for the strategic role of Chairman.
Petts' appointment as Commission Chairman comes after he spent five years with the GSC.
During that time, he played a vital role and accumulated significant experience in risk and compliance, governance and internal audit.
The wide range of skills, key knowledge and track record are undoubtedly going to help Petts in his role as Chairman.
Petts shared his excitement, Casino Guru News learned from a press release.
He commented: "It is essential to strike a balance, maintaining responsible growth of the sector and continuing to uphold a strong regulatory framework."

Assuming the Chairman role, Petts will be tasked with ensuring the highest standards of regulation within the gambling sector.

Besides having solid experience in auditing, Petts is a Chartered Accountant.
He has gained unique knowledge from the gambling, finance and life assurance sectors, making him a perfect fit for the Chairman role.
As Commission Chairman, he is expected to maintain GSC's commitment to meeting international standards via effective collaboration and resource investment.
His guidance is also expected to be crucial when GSC is addressing threats such as money laundering, terrorist financing and proliferation financing.
