A fortunate woman was in disbelief after winning a progressive jackpot from a popular lottery game in Maryland.

Late last week, the Maryland Lottery confirmed that a woman from Severna Park became the fourth jackpot winner of the $10 FAST PLAY Grand Progressive game.

The winner was initially stunned by a black screen

The Anne Arundel County resident purchased her winning ticket at 7-Eleven on 162 Ritchie Highway in Severna Park.

Speaking to an official from the Lottery, the lucky winner revealed that after looking at the ticket initially, she didn't think it was a winner.

Scanning the ticket also took her by surprise, as a black screen initially appeared and after that, a message told her to go to the Maryland Lottery.

"I was stunned. It was real dramatic with the screen going blank," the woman recalled.

However, taking another look at the ticket, she saw that it had a match of the number 25, which was the progressive jackpot symbol.

Asking a clerk about how much the jackpot was, the woman was shocked when she realized she had just won $134,985.

Selling the winning ticket, the retailer will benefit from a $1,000 bonus.

"It was exciting. I can’t believe it," the lucky winner admitted.

Asked if she had plans about the unexpected windfall, the fortunate woman admitted that she plans to put money aside for retirement.

As noted, the woman was the fourth progressive jackpot winner from the FAST PLAY lottery game.

She joined winners who scored jackpots in Odenton, La Plata as well as one Pennsylvania resident who purchased a winning ticket in Laurel.

Two dozen top prizes remain in play from FAST PLAY Grand Progressive

Initially, the $10 FAST PLAY Grand Progressive game launched with 28 progressive jackpot prizes.

Considering that the Severna Park woman was the fourth jackpot winner, there are 24 such top prizes remaining in play.

Each time the progressive jackpot is won, it resets to $100,000 and continues to grow with each ticket sale until it is won.

Besides the progressive jackpot top prize, the popular lottery game features six tier-two prizes of $50,000.

A tier-three prize from the game awards players $10,000 and there are a total of 45 such prizes remaining in play.

The popular lottery game also offers thousands of more prizes, varying between $10 and $1,000.

The odds of winning any prize from the FAST PLAY Grand Progressive game are 1 in 3.73.
