The popular digital instant game offers a range of price options starting from $0.50 up to $30 per play.

The fortunate Conover resident participated with $1 and was shocked after scoring the game's jackpot for a $158,426 payday.

The odds of winning the second level "Cadabra" jackpot on a $1 play from The Lamp: Dark Arts are 1 in 32m.

Lucky for the fortunate woman, she was able to beat those odds and take home the hefty digital instant win.

Recalling the day she decided to give the lottery game a try, the woman said: "I was about to lay down for a nap but that made me jump up real quick."

The fortunate winner added: "I was pretty surprised. I didn’t expect that."

When she was asked how she picked The Lamp: Dark Arts digital instant game, the woman explained: "My favorite color is green and the wheel in the game is green."

The fortunate Conover resident visited the Lottery headquarters earlier this week to claim her big win.

Considering that state and federal taxes apply to lottery winnings in North Carolina, the woman's bank account increased by $113,671 after the relevant withholdings.

Asked about her plans on how she would spend the unexpected windfall, the woman said she wants to help local cat rescues and pay some bills.
